Why do people judge?
This isn't relating to anything specific, just a few things that I have seen and it makes me wonder - why?
I know that I've done it before, I'm sure everyone has done it as some point in their life.
But.. What does it achieve?
Nothing.
I was reading something someone had written that stating something along the lines of "It's like one of the bogan children, with a very young Mother".
I took offense to this. I'm not a Mum (yet), but when I do have a baby, I will be considered what society deems to be a "Young Mum" - is there anything wrong with this?
I don't think so.
Just because I will be young, does not mean that I will not make a good Mother. It does not mean that I will not be able to raise my child properly. It does not mean that my child will not be loved, or wanted.
Sure, a 30 year old has more life experience than a 20 year old, however, I'm sure that a 20 year can still teach a 30 year old a few things .... and vise versa.
Back in my Grandparents day (and Great Grandparents) it was the norm to have children young, I'm sure they weren't judged.
Then, there's the whole "I don't like that person because she/he dresses like this... or looks like that" It's just plain wrong!
I remember in school I had to deal with a lot of bullying - you would think that being an adult, it would change, but apparently not. The same thing happens, people still judge over clothes, or dress size, or even the food you choose to eat.
It's a never ending cycle.
Why can't people be happy without judging or bullying? I always think that someone who bullies is insecure in themselves.
Imagine what the world would be like if there wasn't any of this bullshit. A much, much nicer place.
